Challenging, tiring.. are the best words to describe the situation..but with help from my husband.. and lot of patience.. I should say we are managing ok..
When you are pregnant, normal things seem a little bit harder to do just coz you are getting uncomfortable with the extra weight you are carrying.. Now add to this, a twin pregnancy, a 2 hr commute to work every day..,a major deadline at work demanding longer hours at work than usual.. and then a highly energetic 3 yr old who is just so interested in doing stuff..there is no slowing down...!
My son suddenly finds himself too bored at times... coz mommy is tired all the time.. and daddy is busy with lots of things to do around the house.. (since mommy cant function as before.. ) How is a 3 yr old to deal with the situation ? Suddenly he is expected to do more stuff himself.. expected to play by himself .. and do everything by himself.. poor little one.. ! He has been doing very well... and handling it pretty well.. except for a few times when he wants to be pampered... He is taking pride in the fact that his yet to arrive baby sisters will be much younger than him and he gets to be a big brother after they are born.. He helps mommy with unloading the dishwasher.. and doing the laundry.. He wont run into her tummy.. and will understand if she cant run with him.. After all, mommy is tired because she is carrying 2 babies in her tummy.. He is eager to see them and play with them.. Talks to them atleast a few times during the week.. tries to feel them inside mommy's tummy.. He makes sure mommy got her vitamins everyday.. by reminding her after supper about them..
Considering that he is just 3.. I think he is being quite understanding.. ! And I am really thankful for that.. . Share your pregnancy stories.. and how you managed being pregnant and taking care of the kids you already have..
